FAQs
How do I accept a bid?
To accept a bid on LoadMax, Login using your username and password.
Go to your listing and you will see a Green Accept Bid button.
Select the provider you wish to do your job by hitting the Accept Bid button.
How do I pay?
Once you select a bid, you pay a transaction fee through paypal and this means the job has been secured and is to go ahead. Key information is then exchanged via email between you and the transport provider. This information includes the pick-up and delivery address as well as your phone numbers.
The transaction fee that you pay comes out of the original quote that you accept. For example, if you select a bid that is worth $190 - the transaction fee you pay will be $18.45 and the rest - $171.55 of the payment is discussed between you and the transport provider, according to how the transport provider prefers to be paid which can be viewed in their Profiles.
Do I need to list the Collection and Delivery addresses?
Yes, you do. The addresses are never exchanged until you have selected the provider and paid the LoadMax fee. The only information that is released is the suburbs so that the transport providers can bid probably for your work.
Phone numbers are only exchanged after you have selected the bid. Please do not post your address or phone number in the comments section.
Before I select the bid, how do I ask the transport provider a question or two?
This is no problems at all - any questions that you have can be written on the Questions For and From Transport Providers section. We encourage you to write any questions you have before you accept a bid.
Who contacts who after the bid has been successful?
The transport provider is encouraged to contact you right away, but sometimes they may be on the road and so we give you their number also, so please contact the transport provider if you do not hear from them in the first couple of hours.
What do I do after the job is completed?
After the Job is completed please take a moment to fill in the feedback section about the transport provider.
You can find the feedback section when you go to My Items, it is underneath your job section. This feedback is invaluable to the LoadMax Community.
Once I post my job, am I locked in?
No, you do not have to accept any of the quotes given. You can decline all of them if you like. But you will probably want to accept!
How do I know if the transport provider is trustworthy?
LoadMax has implemented a feedback-rating system, just like ebay. After every transaction users can leave either positive, neutral or negative ratings. You can see these ratings by looking at the transport provider's profile. Please be sure to leave a rating after you've received your goods! You can also do a google search to find out additional information about the transport provider as most transport providers list their Company name.
How about insurance?
We recommend all customers take out their own insurance policy. Companies that are with AFRA can offer you insurance. Under Australian law, removal companies do not have to carry insurance. You should check their stipluated levels of coverage by looking at their profile page before accepting a quote.
Are you going to ring me with sales phone calls?
No we don't call, all quotes come to you by email. You can review the quotes when it's convenient for you.
How long does it take?
Quotes are manually entered by transport providers. We recommend allowing 1-2 days for them to come in. However, it is not uncommon to get a great deal within a few hours.
How many quotes will I receive?
You should receive at least 3 quotes for each posting. We have many transport providers on LoadMax, working hard to give you a great price.
Thank you for using LoadMax - the online marketplace to transport your goods!
